“Three Kings” is a Catholic holiday in honor of the three volkhvs who were the first to bring the news of the birth of Jesus Christ to the world. You will see the Batleyka (puppet show), learn the traditions of celebration in Belarus.
According to beliefs, this was a group of volkhvs (wizard, magus) who visited Jesus after his birth to bring him gifts in the form of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Volkhvs are traditional characters in the celebration of Christmas and an important part of the Christian tradition. The ritual event “Three Kings” is an artistic reconstruction of the holiday based on ethnographic information, remade in a modern manner with interactive elements.
