Departure from Minsk. Transfer to Zaslavl.

Zaslavl is an old Belarusian city, founded in 985. It has a unique and rich history. According to legend, in the X century, the famous Prince of Kiev Vladimir decided to marry Ragned, the daughter of Rogvolod, against her will. Later, becoming the Kiev princess, she wanted to kill her husband, but this attempt was unsuccessful. She had to be executed for this crime, but her son Izyaslav stood up to protect her mother with a sword. Struck by courage, Vladimir built the city, where he exiled Ragneda with her son. At first the city was called Izyaslavl, Izheslavl, Zheslavl, and in modern Zaslavl.

In ancient Zaslavl you can not only get acquainted with its rich history, but also visit the first theatrical tour in Belarus. You will see the“Zamechak” – the ancient settlement built in the 990s. You will also get acquainted with temples such as the Church of the Transfiguration, which originally belonged to the Protestants, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary – a Baroque style building. Here you will be greeted by an old manor, thoroughly penetrated by Belarusian culture. Wooden furniture, stove and fragrant smell of national cuisine. The atmosphere of the cafe is permeated with good Belarusian antiquity, which is emphasized by multi-colored stained-glass windows. Professional chefs, true masters of their craft, know that not only their skills, but also their “soul” must be put into the Belarusian cuisine dish. The “Shynok” reveals the secrets of many old recipes. For example, only here you can taste the unique hot hop-drink of the 16th century “Krupnik”. Like our ancestors, cooks add more than twenty different herbs to the drink! The cafe has its own closed territory. At your disposal will be a cozy wooden gazebo and tables.
